CCSU assembly adopts resolutions

Confederation of Chang Students’ Union (CCSU) adopted a four-point resolution on its 55th federal assembly session held at Kumpüng village. According to CCSU president, Chingmak and general secretary C. Pongsu Kumchuba, the grade-IV recruitment in district offices of the department shall be filled up by indigenous inhabitants of the district. The confederation appealed to the government to withdraw all the non-indigenous appointees. CCSU resolved that all HODs and employees of the government established department in Tuensang should remain in station and perform the assigned duties diligently. Also, hunting will be strictly prohibited under Chang jurisdiction from January to October wherein violators will be penalised. It also resolved to not allow declaring holidays in schools/institutions due to any festival or celebration other than national holidays.
