With its 30-day ultimatum served on SCERT expiring on May 10, the Confederation of Chang Students’ Union (CCSU) has cautioned that it was contained take its own course of action and for which the department would be solely held responsible for any further “complications” that could occur.
CCSU had served an ultimatum on the State Council for Educational Research and Training (SCERT) for immediate implementation and relocation of entire DIET Tuensang.
In a press release, CCSU vice president Kelep and assistant general secretary S. Nayang said despite its ultimatum there was “no positive response from the concern department thus far.”
CCSU claimed it detected that some vested individuals through political motivation were jeopardizing the already approved work by the Union Ministry, for monetary gain.
Moreover, it said the responsible department failed to adhere to the official procedure in identifying the requisite plot of land and execution of work order and its implementation. It pointed out that more than five years had lapsed since the central government has approved the work.
