DIMAPUR, JUN 4 (NPN): The Chümoukedima District Cricket Association (CDCA) has invited all cricket players from the district to register for the upcoming Open Trials 2026-27 to be conducted by the Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA).
According to CDCA, both registered and new players are eligible to participate. Interested players have been asked to complete their registration in order to qualify for the NCA trials.
Registration will be held on June 6 and 7 from 9 a.m. onwards at the CDCA Office. For further information, players may contact 8837419167.
The NCA Open Trials will be conducted at GNR Ground across various age categories. Trials for the Senior Men’s category will be conducted on June 10, followed by the Men’s Under-19 category on June 11 and 12. The Boys’ Under-16 trials are scheduled for June 13, while the Men’s Under-23 trials will take place on June 15 and 16. Trials for the Women’s Under-15 and Under-19 categories will be held on June 17, and the Women’s Under-23 and Senior Women’s categories will conclude the selection process on June 18.Eligibility for age-group categories has been specified by the association. Girls Under-15 should be born between September 1, 2011 and August 31, 2014, while Boys Under-16 should be born between September 1, 2010 and August 31, 2012. Players in the Under-19 category must be born on or after September 1, 2007, and Under-23 players must be born on or after September 1, 2003.The association informed that all interested players must register through their respective District Cricket Associations and obtain a recommendation letter from their district body. Participants are also required to produce original Birth Certificates and Aadhaar Cards for verification at the time of reporting.
Additionally, players in the Girls Under-15, Boys Under-16 and Boys/Girls Under-19 categories must submit three years of school marksheets or a School Leaving Certificate.
Reporting time for all categories has been fixed at 8:30 a.m. A fitness test will form part of the selection process, and participants will have to bear their own expenses for attending the trials.
Players have also been directed to wear white playing attire during the trials. The association stated that all documents must be verified and certified by the respective District Cricket Associations before the commencement of the trials.
