Census review at Chiephobozou; EAC Meluri monitors House Listing

DIMAPUR: The weekly Census review meeting of Chiephobozou sub division was held on Wednesday at the office chamber of ADC Chiephobozou, Vekusheyi Rhakho.
According to DIPR report, addressing the meeting, Rhakho said the objective was to review progress and activities carried out in the layout map and to resolve issues raised by responsible officers during the census exercise. Stressing the importance of quality and accuracy of data, he urged supervisors to make regular visits and conduct random checks to clear doubts. He reminded them to maintain confidentiality while carrying out census operations and to strictly follow the Acts, rules and guidelines issued by the Census department. He further asked supervisors to take immediate corrective action wherever errors are detected and seek guidance from Master Trainers or Census Nodal officers.
Supervisors present highlighted their operational status reports and shared challenges faced during the ongoing House Listing Operation (HLO).
Officials from the Directorate of Census, Kohima—Assistant Director (T) Chuyalo Kath and Dr. Kekrietshunuo Kire, Sr. Executive—also interacted with enumerators and explained necessary guidelines. Field Trainers Alemsongla Jamir, Lecturer DIET Chiechama, and Ruthla Sangtam, Lecturer DIET Chiechama, highlighted various issues in the presence of Chiephobozou Town Charge Officer, EAC Viketoulie Metha, and Botsa Charge Officer, EAC Kohima, Annie Khieya.
Meanwhile, EAC Meluri, Zuchibemo Ezung, accompanied by the Census Liaison Officer, enumerators and village authorities, visited Meluri village to oversee the House Listing exercise under Census 2027.
According to DIPR report, the field visit was conducted to monitor the progress of enumeration, ensure adherence to census guidelines and review the quality and accuracy of the House Listing operation. During the visit, the EAC interacted with the enumeration team and village authorities, emphasising the importance of accurate and comprehensive data collection for the successful conduct of Census 2027.
