Central Nagaland bodies back regularization of Covid-era 98 doctors

DIMAPUR, FEB 27 (NPN):

Central Nagaland Women Association (CNWA) along with Central Nagaland Tribes Council and Central Nagaland Students’ Association Friday expressed support for the regularization of 98 doctors.
In a press release, CNWA stated that decision for regularization approved by Cabinet has been upheld by the Gauhati High Court, but implementation has been delayed. They highlighted that these doctors rendered dedicated and selfless service during the COVID-19 pandemic, playing a pivotal role in the state’s healthcare response at a time of unprecedented crisis.
They also asserted that their commitment and professionalism helped safeguard the well-being of countless families across Nagaland.
They said that Cabinet’s decision, affirmed by the High Court, reflected due consideration and lawful process.
In light of this, the organizations urged the responsible authorities to implement the decision in letter and spirit. The associations asserted that supporting these doctors was not only recognition of their service during a critical period but also a step toward strengthening the healthcare system of the State.
