Central nodal officers for coordinating activities of Jal Shakti Abhiyan “Catch the rain 2022,” Kushagra Mittal and Saket Kumar visited Zunheboto on June 1, to observe the status of the ongoing and completed works in the district on water conservation activities.
According to a DIPR report, deputy commissioner (DC) Zunheboto, Rahul Bhanudas Mali during a brief interaction with the central nodal officers highlighted various activities taken up in compliance with “Jal Shakti Abhiyan, Catch the rain” campaign.
He informed them that activities included—setting up of Jal Shakti Kendra in the district, at the office of the executive engineer, Water Resources department, geo-tagging and enumeration of existing water bodies, construction of farm ponds and spring shed based watershed development.
The central nodal officers accompanied by district heads of offices of Water Resources, Land Resources and Public Health Engineering departments conducted field visits on June 2.
