MDoNER inspects PM-DeVINE, NEC projects
Angshuman Dey, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER), conducted an inspection of projects under the Prime Minister’s Development Initiative for North East (PM-DeVINE) and North Eastern Council (NEC) schemes in Dimapur district during his official visit to Nagaland.
According to DIPR report, Dey inspected the construction of the 220/132kV (2×100 MVA) and 132/33kV (2×50 MVA) Tsitrongse–Dimapur substation being executed under PM-DeVINE.
He also visited the ongoing upgradation works of the Radiation Oncology Department at CIHSR, Dimapur, aimed at strengthening cancer care facilities and improving access to advanced treatment services in the district.
He was accompanied by Er. Kasho Chishi, Chief Engineer (Transmission & Generation), Asangla Imti, secretary, Power Department, Nagaland, and Temsunaro Aier, Development Commissioner, Government of Nagaland, along with other departmental officials.
The Joint Secretary will also review several NEC-funded development projects, including infrastructure and livelihood-based initiatives.
During interactions with implementing agencies and district officials, Dey emphasised timely completion of works, strict adherence to quality standards, and effective utilisation of funds to ensure tangible benefits for the people.
MoE inspects PM-USHA projects

Dimapur:Officials from the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India, led by Armstrong Pame, Joint Secretary (ICC & RUSA), undertook a three-day official visit to Nagaland from January 14 to 17, 2026.
According to DIPR report, as part of the visit, a one-day regional workshop on RUSA/PM-USHA was held on January 16 at Kohima, hosted by the Department of Higher Education, Nagaland, for the North-Eastern States of Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, and Mizoram.
Key deliberations during the workshop included PFMS/SNA-SPARSH issues, the PM-USHA Portal, review of ongoing projects, state-specific challenges, and sharing of best practices. The workshop aimed to provide handholding support to States and Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to strengthen implementation, improve fund utilization, and align initiatives with NEP 2020 and PM-USHA objectives.
Minister for Higher Education & Tourism, Temjen Imna Along, also addressed the gathering.
Following the workshop, the MoE official conducted on-site visits to PM-USHA projects across Nagaland to assess physical and financial progress. At Dimapur Government College, ongoing and completed components such as the Girls Hostel, Academic Block, Incubation Centre/Skill Hub, and Library building upgradation were reviewed. The team also inspected two Scheduled Tribe Girls Hostels at Kohima Science College and the Professional College of Music & Fine Arts, Tsiesema.
