Centre Chakhesang Public Organization renamed as CC Youth Organisation

DIMAPUR: Centre Chakhesang Public Organization (CCPO), Phek, has formally approved the change of nomenclature of the Centre Chakhesang Sports Association (CCSA) to Centre Chakhesang Youth Organisation (CCYO).
The approval was issued by CCPO president Pupohu Lohe after “careful review and deliberations” during the general executive meeting held on March 18, 2026, at Sakraba Town.
Marking the transition, a programme was held on May 2 at Town Hall, Sakraba, where elderly blessings were pronounced by Pukhuhu Dzudo and a dedicatory prayer was offered by Kuduhuto Dazo, pastor of Sakraba Baptist Church.
According to the official approval, the change pertains solely to the nomenclature, while the aims, objectives and legal structure of the former association remain unchanged. The CCPO directed the incumbent CCYO to update all official records, including bank accounts, letterheads, stamp seals and registration certificates, within 30 days. The newly named organisation will inherit all assets, liabilities and ongoing commitments of the former body. CCPO expressed confidence that the CCYO would continue its work in youth development, sporting activities, cultural practices, community service and societal relationships, while also taking on a larger role in assisting village authorities and CCPO in law and order matters.
The programme was led by Thuvoswuyi Lohe, Advisor, CCSA, with invocation prayer by Zhovetso Keroh, Pastor, GBC.
