The chief electoral officer (CEO) Nagaland, Shashank Shekhar, has notified that the Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced the schedule for special summary revision of photo electoral rolls with reference to January 1, 2022 as the qualifying date.
In a press release, CEO Nagaland informed that the pre-revision activities including removal of all DSEs/multiple entries, logical errors etc., H2H verification through BLOs and proper formation of sections and rationalization of polling stations would be carried out from August 9 to October 31).
CEO also informed that revision activities such as publication of integrated draft electoral roll would be conducted on November 1; period for filing claims & objections from November 1-30; disposal of claims and objections by December 20 and final publication of electoral roll by January 5, 2022).
