CEO Nagaland reviews conduct of Prez polls

Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Nagaland, V Shashank Shekhar on Wednesday, held a review meeting for the conduct of presidential election 2022 with the assistant returning officers, Khruohituonuo Rio and Darhu Shupao, in his office chamber on June 22, 2022.
Additional CEO, Ruokuovituo Khezhie and joint CEO, Awa Lorin and deputy CEO, R Mhathung also attended the meeting.
In accordance with the Election Commission of India’s instructions, various preparations were reviewed, such as security arrangements, collection of ballot boxes and other election materials from New Delhi and deposit of the same after poll.
The meeting also reviewed various arrangements at the place of poll, strong room, COVID-19 protocols to be followed, arrangements for videography and various other administrative arrangements.
The Presidential Election would be held on July 18, 2022 between 10am and 5pm.
The last date for filing nominations is June 29, 2022 and counting of votes will take place in New Delhi on July 21, 2022.
