The ceasefire agreement between the Government of India (GOI) and the GPRN/NSCN (U), led by president ‘gen.’ (Retd.) MB Neokpao Konyak and ato kilonser Alezo Venuh, has been extended for another year till April 28, 2026.
According to a press release issued by the MIP, citing confirmation from its CFSB office, the official meeting regarding the extension was held between representatives of the Government of India and the GPRN/NSCN (U) delegation at the VIP Guest House, Chümoukedima Police Complex, on April 28.
