
Couples For Christ (CFC) Nagaland celebrated its 2nd Anniversary on September 23, at Rüsoma Village under the theme “Rekindle the Gift…. Fulfill your Ministry” (2 Timothy 1:6, 4:1-5) with the Most Rev. Dr. James Thoppil, Bishop of Kohima Diocese as the main celebrant of the Holy Eucharist.
A press release from CFC Nagaland chapter head-&-state coordinator Mengukhrietuo Marcus stated that Rev. Dr. James Thoppil said they were gathered to thank God for the gift of faith.
He reminded the congregation to thank God for the gift of their association that brought them together.
According to Rev. Dr. Thoppil, the Couples For Christ movement was definitely inspired by the Holy Spirit in order to evangelize and spread the values of the Gospel
Rev. Fr. Paul Panü SDB, Parish Priest, Christ the King, Kohima Village, in his exultation asked the gathering to rekindle their gifts and fulfill their ministries.
“The more you use the gift, the more valuable it is or the more you give to others to pass on, the more valuable it is” he stated.
Rev. Fr. James Sangtam, Parish Prist, St. Ignatius Parish, Razeba, Phek, shared his experience with Couples For Christ in Manila, Philippines when he attended the anniversary of Family Ministry of Couples For Christ, Clergy-Lay conference, and many other activities of Couples For Christ in the month of June 2018 at Manila, Philippines.
Earlier, Medo-o Mathew, unit head, Couples For Christ Nagaland and Vipelou-ü Marina, members CFC Nagaland led the Holy Rosary. Edel Neivotsolie, unit head, CFC-SFC Nagaland was the compère for the 2nd anniversary. Mengukhrietuo Marcus, chapter head-&-state coordinator, CFC Nagaland gave the welcome address, Neikehetuo Norbert, unit head, Couples For Christ Nagaland gave the vote of thank and Asanuo Jeanne led the whole music ministry for the celebrations.
