Members of Christian Forum Dimapur visited Imphal on November 27 and 28 and carried out a relief programme. The members included chairman of the forum, Rev. Moses Murry; member, Rev. Vangphong Phom; Dr. Alem Sangtam, President, All Nagaland Theological College Association (NTCA) and Rev. Daniel Shyam, member.
On November 27, the members held prayer fellowship program at Thangkul Baptist Church, Imphal with the Meitei pastors and evangelist from all denominations.
Rev. Moses Murry delivered a short exhortation encouraging them that even though their houses and churches have been burnt down but their hearts and faith cannot be burnt.
He encouraged them to remain strong and steadfast in the Lord and assured them of CFD’ support to raise the voices to the government to allow for rebuilding the churches destroyed during the violence. During the program, they also provided 330 blankets and also some financial assistance to the pastors and evangelist.
On November 28, the members also visited three Meitei relief camps and provided financial assistance to about 100 families. The program was organised by All Manipur Christian Organisation (AMCO) under the leadership of Rev. Simon Raiomai, president, AMCO and team members. Meanwhile, CFD team thanked the AMCO team for their support and cooperation during the visit.
