Chumukedima Gorkha Youth (CGY) organised a seminar on “Leadership-cum-Career Guidance” under the theme “Equipping for Future” at St. Gabriel School Chumukedima on April 28.
A press release from CGY press & info secretary, Jacob Singh stated that resource person, assistant accounts grade-I, Food Corporation of India, Cornelios Gurung spoke on “Career Goals & Career Settings”. Presenting a talk on competitive exam, its preparation and career in the civil service, he shared his experiences as well as the pattern and process of the examinations. He also advised the participants of the seminar to keep God first so that they could achieve their dreams and become successful. He also encouraged the participants to pursue their studies on career based interests.
Robert Aley, pastor Nepali Baptist Church Chumukedima spoke on the topic “leadership”, wherein he called upon the leaders to play positive roles to direct society towards betterment. He also asked the leaders to cultivate values of responsibility and exert greater efforts by inviting public opinions with the vision that “we care”.
President Manoj Shreshtha, CGY gave the presidential address. Many students, mostly those who had cleared HSLC and HSSLC, attended the seminar and were counselled.
