CHA hosts annual science exhibition

DIMAPUR: Charis High Academy (CHA), Chümoukedima, held its annual Science Exhibition 2026 on June 20 at the school premises under the theme “Shaping Tomorrow with Science and Technology.” The exhibition provided a platform for students to translate theoretical concepts into practical innovations.
Delivering the keynote address, Associate Professor of Physics, NIT Nagaland, Dr. Debarun Dhar Purkayastha, lauded the creativity and inquisitiveness of the participants. He remarked that the seeds of great scientific breakthroughs are sown in classrooms of young innovators who dare to look at the world differently. Stressing that science is about cultivating inquiry rather than memorizing equations, he urged students to nurture curiosity and critical thinking.
The exhibition featured a distinguished panel of guest judges, including Dr. Purkayastha and Bendangtoshi Longchar, Technical Associate & Supervisor at NAGABOTS, Chümoukedima Branch.
Speaking at the valedictory ceremony, School Administrator, Chanmayo J. Aier, commended the innovative ideas presented and the dedication behind each project. He encouraged students to explore ways of improving Naga traditional practices through modern science.
The competition was contested across three age categories, showcasing diverse projects and reflecting the academy’s commitment to fostering scientific temper among students.
