CHA workshop for teachers

Charis High Academy (CHA), Chumukedima conducted a workshop for teachers on ‘Creative Teaching for Transformation’ from January 19-21, with resource persons Dr. Ajit A. Prasadam, Princeton University (New Jersey), general secretary, India Sunday School Union and director, St. Andrew Centre for HRD and counselling, Coonor, Tamil Nadu and Sheela Ebenezer, Coonor, India Sunday School Union. Trainers used innovative metaphors and activities to elaborate on the various educational structures and teaching methodologies. Follow up programme was held on February 24 by Dr. Ajit A. Prasadam. He told teachers to cultivate the art of “disciplined imagination” in order to draw out the best. Dr. Ajit said that the teacher should make the mind and spirit of the student go in sync to understand the core values and ethics of human life.
