Chakhesang Students’ Union Delhi (CSUD) organised Chakhesang People’s Meet 2023 under the theme, “connect towards a better tomorrow” at NDMC Convention Centre, Sansad Marg, Delhi on October 7.
In a press release, CSUD informed that minster of Power and Parliamentary Affairs, KG Kenye graced the occasion as special guest and advisor of CAWD Küdecho Khamo as guest of honour.
Kenye in his address emphasized on the significance of preserving integrity and remaining focused on individual and collective purposes. He reminded the community not to lose sight of the reasons that had brought them to Delhi, whether as students or working professionals.
Kenye also encouraged the people to make the most of the abundant opportunities available in Delhi. The minister underscored the need to use their time wisely and not take for granted the experiences and resources offered by the city.
The minister expressed deep gratitude to the organizing committee for their unwavering efforts in bringing the event. He highlighted the importance of such initiatives in enriching the cultural and intellectual landscape of Delhi.
Advisor, Küdecho Khamo speaking on the occasion stressed on the importance of striving for success through diligent effort rather than merely dreaming about it. While adding that one’s future position hinges on their present actions, he pointed out that most successful people are not gifted but they work hard to achieve their goals.
Khamo urged attendees to aspire boldly, encouraging them not only to pursue personal goals, fame, or financial prosperity but to channel their ambitions towards glorifying the divine. He also advocated for a connection with God through prayer and the continuous reading of the Bible adding that prayer paves the way for success. “Most challenges facing us today are basically not political, social or economic issues, but the bottom line of the problems is the spiritual bankruptcy” he said.
“No matter how crowded or competitive the world may be, there is always a room for God’s fearing and hardworking people” said Khamo. He also asked the participants to safeguard the faith and be the ambassador of Jesus Christ wherever they go.
Earlier, presidential address was delivered by president CSUD, Sheniehu Theluo, greetings by president Chakhesang Students Union Avezo Kapuh, and exhortation by president Chakhesang Public Organisation Vezuhu Keyho.
