
Chang Union Dimapur (CUD) and Chang Students’ Union Dimapur (CSUD) extended ‘full’ cooperation and “unconditional” support to the NFHRCC’s 30-day ultimatum on the state government to make the foothill road pliable while waiting for the mega project.
CUD general secretary Sosang Chang expressed dismay over the government’s “neglect and delay tactics” and accused it of not realising the “importance of the survival road of the Nagas in general.” In this regard, CUD has affirmed to participate in any action initiated by NFHRCC.
Further, CSUD through its general secretary Imkonglemba expressed dismay over the government’s “unsympathetic treatment” towards the proposed project since its inception. It warned of consequences if demands were not met.
