Chang tribe to celebrate Poanglüm festival

Poanglüm, a post-harvest festival of the Chang tribe under the aegis of Chang Tribal Council (CKS) would be celebrated from January 12 to 13 in Tuensang headquarter. 
A press note by CKS president, M. P. Nokshang and general secretary, C. Yenten stated that the festival would be celebrated for two days, graced by minister of Health & Family Welfare, P. Longen on the first day and minister of Power, Kipili Sangtam  on the second day as chief guest and president ENPO, Koiwang Konyak as guest of honour. 
Additional events such as ethnic show in the evening of day one  and Musical Night on day two have been incorporated to enchance the festival, where Tetseo sisters and INCIPIT Dimapur based band would participate. Both events would be graced by DC Tuensang, Alem Jongshi and S. Chuba Sangla OSD to Higher Education as guest of honour respectively. CKS and the planning committee Poanglüm has invited the presence of all the general public of Tuensang Town, all HoDs and government officials under Tuensang town, the village councils of all the Chang villages, all the Chang unions of different places and well wishers to be a part of the festival.
