Chessore gets new CDPO office

New office building of the Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) under Chessore ICDS project was inaugurated by director, social welfare department, K. Atoli Sema on August 14.

In a press release CDPO informed that during the programme, the director expressed gratitude for the support, help and co-operation extended to the department.

She reminded that the office building was constructed under mobilised funds taking note of its remoteness and constraints faced by functionaries in delivering ICDS service packages to target beneficiaries.

She also appealed to the leaders to be caretakers of the new office building.

Meanwhile, deputy director Hutoi Sema in his speech also spoke on the collective responsibility for the growth and development of the department. 

S. Longnyei Konyak SDO (C), Chessore Area People’s Forum president, Y. Kiumukam, treasurer GBs Association, L Chuba, AWWS & AWHS president Z Tsusola also delivered short speeches where they acknowledged the department for creating infrastructural assets for the people in one of the remotest areas.

S. Longnyei urged the people to take care of the government property and also expressed gratitude to the director for fulfilling the long felt need of a proper office building after 24 years.

Meanwhile, CDPO N. Ekonthung Kikon also expressed gratitude to the director for giving the people a proper office building which would not only serve as a hub for all AW activities and programmes but also serve as a reminder of the department’s care and concern for the people of Chessore.

He also declared the multipurpose hall as “K. Atoli Sema hall”. 

Earlier, the function was chaired by field officer NL Tangsoi, ceremonial prayer was said by CTBC pastor Z. Tokiumong and invocation by principal, St. Christopher School Chessore, Rev. Fr. David K. Tithong while a welcome song was presented by Z. Tsusola and group. 

Benediction was offered by Doki Allen Pastor CVC and vote of thanks was delivered by field officer Badhi Ram Thapa.
