Chetheba area affected villages refute CTALOA

Village councils of Chesezu, Chesezu Nasa, Thenyizu and authority of Chetheba town in a joint meeting held on October 13 have re-affirmed and adhered to the CPO resolution whereby any un-authorized body or organization shall not be entertained in the two lane compensation issues under Chakhesang jurisdiction.

A press release from the affected villages stated that, the joint villages totally condemn the press statement of the “so called Chetheba Town Area Land Owners Association (CTALOA)” published in the local newspaper on October 12 in relation to two lane compensation issue.

The joint resolution stated that the “so called CTALOA is an unmandated self-styled opportunist body” and for public notice the “Chetheba town exist within the land jurisdiction of Chesezu and Thenyizu villages and as such without the knowledge and approval of the concern village councils the formation of such opportunist body is baseless and unfounded”.

The joint villages further resolved that any individuals or groups who has any genuine grievances against the authority in compensating their damaged properties have every right to press for redressal.

Joint villages have urged the authority to approach the concerned villages to know the realities and completely ignore such baseless demands which will jeopardize the smooth execution of these two lane project for the benefits of community. As such the joint villages “warned that in the event of any unwarranted counter rejoinder be it in words or action shall be at the behest of one’s own risk”.
