Children’s Park inaugurated at Loyola Hr.Sec. School Kiphire

Children’s Park at the Loyola Higher Secondary School (LHSS), Kiphire was inaugurated by secretary to CEDOK and Chancellor of the Diocese of Kohima, Rev Fr Jacob Charallel.


The special guest, Rev. Fr. Jacob, blessed and inaugurated the Park. The special guest said that Park is more than just a playground; it’s a heaven where children can explore, learn and grow.

He said that it is a vibrant space designed to foster creativity, imagination and joy for the young minds. He also reminded what their Patron saint Ignatius Loyola said about children, “Give me the children until they are seven, and anyone may have them afterwards.”


He also stated that opening Children’s Park is the testimony of their commitment to provide a well-round education that addresses the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of their students.


The Principal of LHSS, Rev Fr Philip Magh, welcomed special guest, school managing board, alumni, parents, school staff and invited guests for the august gathering. During the inaugural, children presented welcome song.


Prayer for the various intentions was offered by Rev Fr Thomas Toretkiu. Rev Sr. Lucy SABS was the master of the ceremony. Vote of thanks was proposed by Rev Sr. Tresa, the Headmistress and the concluding prayer by Rev Fr Marius Patton, the vice principal.
