CHK condemns alleged murder

Chakhesng Hoho Kohima (CHK) has strongly condemned the alleged murder of late Nesato Swuro in Kohima on Monday by the accused Neilalie, Kikruorietuo Venyo and two other accomplices.

In a press release, CHK general secretary, Sakhohu Vadeo, said that “such senseless and barbaric act of killing one’s own brethren is unacceptable and intolerable.”

The hoho said it was “extremely painful” and “unimaginable” that such crime was taking place in Naga society, wherein youths were “led out with uncontrolled emotions and taking a man’s life for nothing.”

CHK demanded that the police and administration award befitting highest order of punishment to the accused for their act of murder.

The hoho also demanded that the accused should not be given bail in any case. In the event of doing so, CHK cautioned that it would not hesitate to take own course of action.

Meanwhile, hoho has conveyed condolences to the bereaved family and shared sympathy over the loss.
