The All India Congress Committee (AICC) on Saturday appointed Girish Chodankar as in-charge of Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura and Manipur, with immediate effect.
Chodankar, who is also a permanent invitee of the Congress Working Committee, is former Goa Congress president. He replaces Dr Ajoy Kumar, who has been given the charge of Odisha, with an additional charge of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. This was announced by AICC general secretary KC Venugopal. Eyeing the 2024 polls, the party also effected a significant reshuffle where 12 senior leaders have been given charge of various States.
