Chotisuh takes charge as PHE minister

Former speaker and newly inducted minister of PHED, Chotisuh Sazo attended his first day of work as minister on March 1. 
Secretary of PHED, Dr. Maongwati Aier and joint secretary of PHE, Akumla were present. Rev. Dr. Kevekhalo, pastor of Chakhesang Baptist Church, Kohima invoked God’s blessings. 
In an informal briefing, the secretary informed the minister about a recent MoU signed between the PHE department and Kigwema village for bringing water supply to Kohima during the lean season. Secretary also said that the PHE department would initiate for bringing sufficient drinking water to Kohima after proper negotiations and official agreements with Konoma and Poilwa villages. 
When queried on what would be his priority, Chotisuh remarked that his desire was to provide sufficient water in the civil secretariat complex for maintenance of sanitation and sustainable environment. He further added that keeping the secretariat clean was of utmost importance because visitors to the secretariat are not only from within the state but also from other states and even from abroad. The minister also plans to degitalise the PHED office and make it into a paperless office in the days to come. 
Secretary also mentioned to the minister that the PHE department has initiated for online billing system in Kohima which would be followed by online payment in the near future.
