In commemoration of the Manipur violence that erupted on May 3, 2023, Christian Forum Dimapur (CFD) Friday organised a “solidarity prayer meet” for Manipur at Bethesda Celebration Centre, Central Colony, Walford, Dimapur under the theme, “Bear one another’s burdens and so fulfil the law of Christ” (Gal 6:2).
A press release by CFD informed that the event aimed to express solidarity with the families of those who had lost their dear and near ones in the violence, and those who had lost their homes and property and had to flee the violence-hit areas in Manipur
CFD said the prayer meeting also aimed to come together as one body in Christ, pray for peace and harmony in Manipur and God’s wisdom upon the central and state leaders.
Church leaders and believers from various churches participated in the solidarity prayer meeting led by Nini Sekhose. The opening prayer was said by Rev. Dr. N Paphino, welcome and introduction by Rev Moses Murry, and the prayer points were led by Dr. Alem Sangtam.
Meanwhile, CFD has thanked those who attended the solidarity prayer meeting.
