DIMAPUR, OCT 13 (NPN): Christian Higher Secondary School (CHSS), Dimapur, held the opening ceremony of its 59th Annual Sports Week 2026 on Tuesday, with Dimapur Urban Council chairmen Federation (DUCCF), president Zasivikho Zakiesato as the special guest.
Addressing the students, Zakiesato expressed his privilege at standing before the “builders and leaders of tomorrow,” noting that while the students were presently learners, they would assume leadership roles in different capacities in the future. He reminded them that God had a destiny for everyone and encouraged them not to lose faith.
He also highlighted the functions of DUCCF and recalled the school’s beginnings in the late 1950s, describing its establishment as a significant milestone in the school’s history.
Speaking on the importance of sports, Zakiesato said sports promoted health, determination, discipline and fellowship, while providing a platform for students to showcase their talents. He encouraged the participants to compete with determination and fairness and wished the school a successful sports week, hoping it would strengthen fellowship and create memorable moments for all.
