Staff, management, students and parents of Carmel Higher Secondary School (CHSS) Chekiye Village, 3 ½ mile, Dimapur today held a rally in protest against the rape and murder of its class IX student, Anukumba Dhan on August 17.
With placards that read, “we want justice”, “we want support” etc the participants of the rally marched from CHSS till Diphupar Police station and submitted a memorandum addressed to the SP Dimapur. The memorandum appealed the SP to thoroughly investigate and book the culprit.
Meanwhile, the Nagaland Catholic Women Association, NSF, DNSU, ANCSU and others have condemned the incident.
