Chumou RD block VCs dissolve VDB secy assn

Village Council Chairmen under RD Chümoukedima block have unanimously decided to dissolve any existing VDB secretary association under the block.
In a press release, sessional convenor Sebastian Zumvu informed that the decision was taken at a meeting held in the conference hall of DC on June 11, 2025.
The meet decided to direct all the VDBs secretaries under its jurisdiction to disassociate/withdraw from any existing association of the VDB secretaries in the district or state.
The house also decided to form a Forum of the Village Councils Chairmen, RD Chümoukedima Block, to take up issues pertaining to the interests of the villages under the RD Block.
The meeting held under the chairmanship of BDO, RD Chümoukedima block Sashirenla Imchen discussed various issues pertaining to development of the villages and schemes introduced by the Central Ministry.
17 out of the 23 Council Chairmen under RD Block attended the emergency meeting convened by the BDO.
