Chumoukedima clinch senior men’s inter district cricket tourney title

Chumoukedima were crowned champions of the Senior Men’s Inter District Tournament 2026 after defeating Dimapur by six wickets in the final at Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Chumoukedima on Friday. A disciplined bowling performance followed by a composed batting display sealed their dominant campaign.
Opting to field first, Chumoukedima’s bowlers dismantled Dimapur’s batting lineup, restricting them to just 80 runs in 25.1 overs. Shamphri Terang was the lone resistance, scoring 26 off 34 balls, while the rest of the batting order faltered against relentless pressure. Neizekho Rupreo spearheaded the attack with outstanding figures of 4/16 in 7.1 overs, earning him the Player of the Match award. He was ably supported by Imliwati (3/15) and Ravi Kumar Ram (2/36), ensuring Dimapur never found momentum.
