DC Dimapur Kesonyü Yhome IAS, has informed all landowners and beneficiaries of Chumukedima village, affected by the construction of the new BG railway line from Dhansiripar to Chumukedima village that the payment of compensation for land and buildings and other items has been re-fixed to May 29 at 10 a.m. onwards at the DC’s Conference Hall Dimapur. In a notification Yhome directed all chairman/head GB and other members of Chumukedima Village Council to be physically present for identification of landowners and beneficiaries during the disbursal of cheques. The DC warned, that payment would be withheld if any of the party failed to comply with the instruction. Further, the notice also directed all the landowners and beneficiaries to be present “in person” along with their identification proof, bank passbook, passport photos (five copies). No payment would be entertained to any third party or representative, other than the concerned person, the DC informed.
