Chümoukedima Town Women’s’ Organisation (CTWO), Chümoukedima Town Youth Organisation (CTYO) and Chümoukedima Students Union (CTSU) have reiterated support for “one government, one taxation”.

In a press release, CTWO president, Dievilhoutuonuo Thakro, CTYO president, Hovise Naleo and CTSU president, Kezawelie Richa reminded that on February 13, 2014, the citizens of Chümoukedima had unanimously resolved to not tolerate multiple taxations and would only pay one tax to one entity.

Stating that the resolution still stands, the unions regretted that recently “random elements” have started to emerge again to collect tax causing hardships to business community and public of Chümoukedima town.

Further, the unions have asked the Naga political groups to do away with multiple taxations and work together as one for one common cause.
