Central Institute of Horticulture (CIH), Nagaland has conducted a two-day awareness-cum-farmers’ training on “horticulture avenues for income generation” in Dhansiripar and Amaluma village under Dimapur district on September 9 and 10.
In a press release, CIH informed that the programme was organised with an objective to reach out to the farming communities and create awareness on various horticulture avenues which could be opted as a means of income generation.
The programme was also aimed at sensitising them on various training programmes offered by the institute for horticulture development.
Technical staff of the institute interacted with the farmers on issues related to management of horticultural crops and also provided training on relevant fields.
Altogether, around 35 farmers participated in the programme.
