CIH conducts online trainings on production technology

An online training on “production technology of vegetables for North East region” was conducted on August 17 by Central Institute of Horticulture (CIH), DAC & FW, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, government of India, Medziphema, in association with Entrepreneurs’ Guild, Dimapur, Nagaland. 

A press release by CIH Medziphema stated that special guest of the training, horticulture commissioner, government of India, Dr. BNS Murthy highlighted the importance of training for farmers and entrepreneurs.

He encouraged adopting “group approach” to get the desired result in production and productivity of vegetable crops.

Dr. Praveen Singh presented lecture on basics, prospects and technological details of hydroponics while Meribeni Shitiri presented on vegetable production technologies of selected vegetables with respect to NE conditions. 

Earlier, CIH Medziphema, in collaboration with department of Agriculture, Medi-Caps University, Indore, Madhya Pradesh, conducted a five-day online training on “Nursery management and production technology of selected horticulture crops” from August 10 to 14.  Dr. S.K. Chaurey, HoD, Agriculture, Medi-Caps University, Indore, Madhya Pradesh, addressed the gathering while concluding remark was given by Dr. S.D. Upadhyaya, dean of Agriculture, Medi-Caps University.
