CIH participates in Krishi Unnati Mela, New Delhi

Central Institute of Horticulture, Nagaland participated in three-day “krishi unnati mela” at IARI campus, Pusa, New Delhi from March 19 to 21. The event was organized by dept. of Agriculture, Cooperation & Farmers Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare in association with Confederation of Indian Industry, New Delhi.
Earlier the programme was formally inaugurated by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi on March 19, 2016.
The three-day show had participation from all national level agencies & state agri. & allied departments in India, private companies. The show was organized with focus on agriculture and horticulture advancements, Hi-tech technologies, protected cultivation, farm mechanization, fertigation and farming technologies, processed foods and post harvest technologies, cold storage.
The institute participated in the event and highlighted the various activities being carried out as per the mandates of the institute. The focus horticulture crops available in the NEH region were displayed. Folders and other publications on production technologies, package of practices PHM on fruits, flowers, vegetables and spices were displayed and distributed during the programme. 
Quality planting material of major fruit crops propagated in the institute were displayed.
More than 1000 people from different parts of the country visited the stall and interacted with Director & technical staffs.
