
Central Institute of Horticulture (CIH), DAC & FW, Ministry of Agriculture, India, Medziphema, Nagaland in collaboration with Fosse Holdings (P) LTD, India and Kyrdemkulai Farmers Producer Organisation (KFPO), Meghalaya conducted a two-day progressive farmers training for establishment of “Vegetable seed nursery” at Agrozonex Orchard, Umsning, Rihboi district, Meghalaya on January 13 and 14.
A press release by CIH Medziphema stated that, in the programme a brief remark about the training was delivered by Shiv Anjan Dalmia, Fosse Holdings (P) LTD, India. Resource persons from the institute, Marina and Mhasizotuo, senior technical assistant, CIH provided training through slide presentations and interactive sessions.
Three sessions of training were conducted in 2 days whereby each training session was followed by distribution of vegetable seed kit packets to each participants and interaction session between the technical expert and the participants.
A total of 50 participants attended the training programme. Objective of the programme was to provide an insight into the activities of the institute and basic technical guidance on various technologies related to raising of vegetable nursery.
