Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Nagaland branch in association with department of Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship conducted the second phase of Industry Connect programme at Government Higher Secondary School Pfutsero under Phek district and Ahngjong Mission School, Mon on March 14.
A press release by CII Nagaland state councilchair person & CEO Faith Hospital, Hokhuli Sema stated that, resource person Chakhesang Women Welfare Society (CWWS) executive director (acting) and member of CII Nagaland State Council, NezeluNyekha emphasized on the need for skill development and the importance of skills and Tekhewetsolu Wezah highlighted the employment scenario under Government of Nagaland.
The programme was led by Reka Mero and 157 students besides staffs and interns of the CWWS participated in the event.
Meanwhile, another Industry Connect session was held at Ahngjong Mission School, Mon, where National Teacher Awardee, Nyamto Wangsha briefed the participants on the concept of the programme and shared different avenues and prospect to prepare themselves towards becoming successful entrepreneurs and challenged the young minds to plan out, set out, and put into action with consistency.
Participating in the discussion, Fr Sam, Don Bosco School, Mon, also shared on youth participation in industrial training and self-employment and Model School Mon, headmaster Raju Mogar, advised the students to understand one’s own potential and work towards success in the future.
Earlier, Eastern School, Mon, headmaster Durlov Dey shared on the importance of inculcating informal education like Morung teaching and practices; Yumah, a trained teacher from Phillipines motivated the students on dignity of labour practices in ASEAN countries and beautician, Angip, shared her success story and challenges in her career. Altogether, 73 students participated in the event.
