Cleanliness drive along NH-29 stretch ahead of G20 Summit

In view of the upcoming G20 Business Summit at Kohima, cleanliness drive was carried out along Purana Bazaar-Chumoukedima stretch of NH-29 on Saturday by volunteers from different villages, colonies, Churches and Tetso College. Workers were seen cleaning the roads and repairing street lights.
It was learnt that the delegates from around the world would be arriving Nagaland on April 4 and travel by road from Dimapur Airport to Niathu resort, and head to Kohima on the same day. In this regard, the administration directed all villages between Purana Bazaar to Chumoukedima to clean the roads in their respective jurisdiction before the arrival of the guests.
Further, it was informed that another beautification drive would be carried along the stretch on April 4 morning. All members of SHGs have been requested to participate in the drive and asked to coordinate with acting GB of Niathu Khel Gebou Metha.
