Chief Minister TR Zeliang has condoled the demise of Mrs. Adai Reunim, who passed away on January 28 at Dimapur and expressed regret for his inability to attend her funeral service as he is away in Delhi.
Zeliang has described late Mrs. Adai as an outstanding human being whose thoughts and actions were always for the people. He said late Adai began her career as an Information Assistant in the Information and Publicity Department and retired as the DPRO. She also served as a Member of the Nagaland State Social Welfare Advisory Board and Advisor to the Naga Mothers’ Association. After her retirement, she followed her passion for serving the people as the President of the Zeliangrong Mepui Association for two consecutive terms till her last breath.
He said she was a motherly figure to all who knew her and whose integrity and commitment was her strength. He lamented that Zeliangrong community in particular and the Nagas as a whole have lost a valuable asset in her death.
He has conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed for her departed soul to rest in peace.
