State chief minister Neiphiu Rio and deputy chief minister Y. Patton have extended greetings to the Khiamniungan community on the occasion of Biam festival. Rio, in a tweet, prayed that “God Almighty answer our prayers for a good harvest and the days ahead be happy and prosperous.” In his greetings, deputy CM, Y. Patton said “rituals reflect the rich cultural aspects associated with it, and wished them a bountiful harvest.” On behalf of the state BJP legislators, Patton conveyed festive greetings and prayed for peace and prosperity.
