State chief minister Neiphiu Rio and deputy chief minister Y. Patton have greeted the Zeliang and Liangmai communities on the occasion of Langsimnyi and Chaga Gadi respectively.
Rio wished the Zeliang community on the occasion of Langsimnyi festival and hoped that the essence of the festival of rekindling relationships strengthen familial bonds.
In his greetings to the Liangmai community, Rio said Chaga Gadi festival honours womenfolk for their invaluable contribution to the family. “May the festivity foster love and strengthen bonds,” he tweeted.
Patton: Greeting the Zeliang and Liangmai communities, Patton said festivals are celebrated in forgiveness and reconciliation. “It is also an exhibition of thanksgiving to the Creator for the bumper harvests,” he added.
Patton, on behalf of the state BJP legislators, conveyed heartiest festive greetings and hope that the festivals are celebrated with grandeur.
