CM greets on 54th Statehood Day

Nagaland chief minister, T.R. Zeliang has extended greetings to the citizens of Nagaland on the occasion of the 54th Statehood Day. In his message, Zeliang recalled that on December 1, 1963, the second president of India, Dr. S Radhakrishnan, formally declared Nagaland as the 16th state under the Indian Union at Kohima local Ground.
“Today, as we celebrate Nagaland Statehood, I appeal to the citizens of Nagaland to join hands to make Nagaland a great and prosperous State” it added.
He wished the citizens of Nagaland peace and prosperity and prayed that the state scale new heights.
“I also take this opportunity to welcome the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind to the ‘Land of Festivals’ and ‘Falcon Capital of the World’” it said.
