State chief minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio on Tuesday launched a handbook titled “A Guide to Better Health”, in the presence of NLA Speaker Sharingain Longkumer and advisor to the chief minister & chairman of IDAN, Abu Metha.
After the launch, the book was formally laid and announced in the House by the Speaker of the NLA.
The handbook seeks to provide guidance on preventive healthcare and better lifestyle practices, addressing the growing concerns of lifestyle diseases in the state. The initiative is part of the government’s broader efforts to promote public health and encourage healthy living among the citizens of Nagaland, particularly the legislatures and officers of the state, a DIPR report stated.
The handbook was prepared in collaboration with the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Investment & Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN), Department of Youth Resources & Sports and Medanta Group of Hospitals.
