CM mourns demise of Rtd HC judge Zelre Angami

State chief minister Neiphiu Rio has expressed deep grief over the passing away of justice Zelre Angami, retired judge of Gauhati High Court, on December 20, 2022, and said that in his demise the state has lost one of the most versatile members of the legal fraternity.
In a condolence message to Mrs. Zelre, the chief minister said that justice Zelre was a sincere, diligent, honest and knowledgeable man and was much respected by all.
Rio said that justice Zelre served the government of Nagaland in various capacities with dedication and excellence. “He always advocated the performance of duty with integrity and justice, and expected the same from his colleagues and subordinates,” Rio said, adding that the emptiness created by his passing away would be immensely felt by all. Rio also conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members in this hour of grief and prayed that the Almighty God give them courage and comfort to bear the irreparable loss.
