State chief minister Neiphiu Rio has extended warm Christmas greetings to the all the citizens on behalf of the government of Nagaland and prayed that this Christmas bring healing and forgiveness to everyone through Jesus Christ, who is the Prince of Peace, the Comforter, the source of joy and hope for humanity.
In a message, Rio said Christmas is not just a time for celebration and merry making but a time to rededicate our lives and renew our faith in the Almighty God. “As the Angels proclaimed good tidings of great joy to mankind more than two thousand years ago, this Christmas season too resonates with the same message. The birth of Jesus is a message of love, peace, joy, forgiveness and redemption,” chief minister said.
On the occasion, the chief minister appealed to all sections to spread the message of unity and oneness during this period of festivities. Rio also wished all success to all the programmes, services and events during Christmas and urged all to spread the message of love for His glory.
Further, the chief minister wished one and all a Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year.
NPCC: Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has extended Christmas greetings to all the people of the state and prayed that this Christmas be a time of forgiveness and reconciliation as “we look to the promise of Salvation through the birth of Jesus Christ.”
In a message, NPCC president K Therie said “as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, may this Christmas remind us of the meaning of being a Christian and renew our faith by receiving Jesus with a renewed commitment and hereafter practice Christian values in the true spirit.”
NPCC also hoped that the season be a meaningful celebration through which “our culture manifests itself to be an example to other communities.”
Further, NPCC wished the people of Nagaland a very Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
