CMHS Wka and EAHSS Dmu celebrate parent’s day

Christian Model High School (CMHS) Wokha and Eastern Academy Higher Secondary School (EAHSS) Dimapur in separate programme on October 28 celebrated parent’s day.
CMHS: Christian Model High School Wokha during parents’ day celebration also declared new management for the school.
In a press release, CMHS board chairman, N. Mozhui, stated that chief guest, DIS (retired), Solanthung Humtsoe, in his speech, emphasized on role of both parents and teachers towards shaping the young ones to become responsible and productive citizens. 
The release informed that CMHS was founded by late Rev. E. M. Mozhui in 1972 but would now be taken over by a new management.
The new proprietor of the school, Thungbemo Murry, grandson of late Rev. E. Mozhui, in his speech, shared on his plans to bring about positive changes in the school. 
Murry said he and his wife, Serena, would now devote their lives in nurturing the school, guided by the vision of his grandfather. 
Earlier, N. Mozhui, the chairman of the CMHS board, introduced the new management team. In the programme, children presented cultural items to entertain the parents.
EAHSS: Eastern Academy Higher Secondary School (EAHSS) Dimapur celebrated its parents’ day at the school premises.  According to DIPR report, proprietor of school E. T. Ezung, in his address, observed that schools were built up on the foundation of educating children by planting seeds of learning in young minds.  
Ezung reiterated that Eastern Academy also aimed to direct the students towards hunger for learning today, tomorrow and any time in the future.
Speaking on behalf of the parents, DPRO Dimapur, Lolano Patton, lauded the school administration for declaring the first Saturday of every month as traditional outfit day. She added that through such programme, young students learn about the diversity and cultural heritage.
EAHSS principal, Malin, said that education was a triangular system involving parents, teachers and students towards nurturing students to become responsible citizens. School board member, Ate Kapfo also spoke on the occasion. 
Colourful items including dances, skits, cultural attire show, guitar ensemble, rendition by school choir were some of highlights of the programme.
