CMMFI kicks off at Jakhama block

The flagging off ceremony for the first vehicle financed under Chief Minister’s Micro Finance Initiative (CMMFI) selected from Jakhama block was held at the block’s office on Friday.
Special guest, Assistant District Program Manager (ADPM), NSRLM, DMMU, Kohima dis-trict Vitsizo Semou, flagged off the vehicle. During the coordination programme held under the theme, “Sustainable Livelihoods Through Enterprise Promotion & Skilling”, Semou, expressed happiness at the progress of the entrepre-neurs under the block. He said skills were something the entrepreneurs would have to acquire yourself and once they get equipped with it no one would be able to take it away from them.
He observed that wherever they go they would be able to earn their livelihood through the ac-quired skills. He pointed out that the decision and leadership skills of a person would always come under scrutiny in every walks of life and this would help in their rate of success. He encouraged them to develop a resilient mindset and be driven by their self-belief which was essential for a person to succeed.
Sharing the keynote address, block program manager,NSRLM, BMMU, RD Block Jakhama, Vitsituo Mepfhüo said he was hopeful that CMMFI would benefit the upcoming entrepreneurs. He said banks were now approaching the successful SHGs to hand out loans to them since the recovery rate was at 99.9%.
He encouraged the gathered entrepreneurs to work hard at get the best out of the different schemes the government was providing.
Earlier the programme was chaired by AC-IBCB, NSRLM, BMMU, RD Block Jakhama. PPT presentations on enterprise promotion and DDUGKY (skills) were made by manager, JWLCCS, Khoto Sale and AC skills, NSRLM, BMMU, RD Block Jakhama, Vizano Kera.
Short testimonies were shared by Kelevino Kharutso who thanked the CM for coming up with the new scheme and Noseto Ltu.
Vote of thanks was proposed by AC livelihoods, NSRLM, BMMU, RD Block Jakhama, Vi-hoto Kin. Invocation was offered by vice president, JWLCCS, Zasibino, and benediction by treasurer JWLCCS, Beizono Neihu. The programme was organised by Block Resource Centre, JWLCCS and promoted by Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Missions.
