Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Tuensang Dr.T.Pangjung Sangtam inaugurated the new health and wellness centre of new Chingmei SC-HWC (Tuensang Sadar block) under Tuensang district on September 30.
A press release from district media officer, Tuensang, Apheang stated that during the inaugural function, CMO, Dr.T.Pangjung talked about the important of non communicable diseases (NCD) like diabetes, cancer, blood pressure and heart diseases. He advised the villagers to start screening on NCD and availed medical services for the prevention and control of NCD.
Also speaking in the programme, he requested the villagers cooperate with the health staff to make the health centre fully functional.
Short speeches were delivered by Chuba VCC, Chingmei and Somba VCC, C/Saddle. The function was chaired by Somba VHC Chingmei and vote of thanks by Namang VCC, new Chingmei village.
Meanwhile, RCH outreach health camps were also conducted at New Chingmei SC-HWC.
Villagers from Taknyu, Chingmei, Saddle, Waoshu and Yimpang villages under Chingmei range availed the medical services in the camp. More than 80 OPD registered during the camp.
