Council of Nagalim Churches (CNC) conducted a month-long chain of prayer from June 1 to June 30 in response to the call given by Nagaland Joint Christian Forum (NJCF) for protection and deliverance of “Naga nation” and its people from the second wave of pandemic COVID-19.
In a press release, CNC general secretary, Ikato Chishi Swu lamented that some of their leaders and loved ones passed away during the second wave, but maintained that effective and fervent prayers have “saved and delivered many from the clutches of this deadly virus.”
However, CNC said that the war was far from over and that there was still a possibility for the surge of a third wave.
Therefore, CNC has called upon all responsible to “vigilantly and earnestly continue in prayer with thanksgiving so that God’s hedge of protection will continue to be upon the Nagas.”
Meanwhile, CNC has expressed gratitude to all the ministers departments under GPRN, all the Naga army brigades, battalions, units and regional Churches under it, and all the denominational Churches in Nagalim, prayer groups, organisations, associations, families and individuals that had faithfully participated their time and energy to intercede and commune with God in their allotted time of prayer without breaking the chain.
