CNTC appeals two NPF groups to reconcile

Asserting that the tussle between the two warring groups of the NPF party has dragged the whole state to a chaotic situation, the Central Nagaland Tribal Council (CNTC) has appealed to the two groups to reconcile and end the mess.
In a press release, CNTC president Hokiye Yeptho said the conflict between the two groups of the ruling NPF party has led to political instability in the state.
Maintaining that the state machinery has come to a virtual standstill owing to this imbroglio, the CNTC said the “unwarranted paralysis of the state government” has emboldened the anti-social elements to create law and order problem.
It stated that the general public were “becoming restless and impatient”, adding that the angst was at an all time high.
The tribal council said that the overwhelming mandate of the people in the last general election should be respected by all parties of DAN alliance.
Stating that the government of the day should fully function, CNTC expressed that it was the constitutional and political obligation of the government to provide fair and secure governance to the people.
In the light of the above, the CNTC has appealed to both the groups to come together and reconcile in the spirit of forgive and forget, as directed by the election commission of India and also as desired by the people of the state and end this mess and thereby create harmony and peace in the state once again.
